Description
My mother ran a streetcar diner in Pennsylvania beginning in 1945. It was a wonderful place to grow up. She was a Steelers fan, so I painted this with the yellow and black colors of the Steelers in mind and the feel of a football. Our home was behind the diner and the large rock on the hilltop was my earliest memory as a toddler. Painted in memory of my Mom, a free spirited, loving, independent reflection of her dreams. The diner was called Rosebud's Diner after her (Rose), and her children (rosebuds).
