Myra Maslowsky is a visual artist who has specialized in oil painting for over 30 years. In addition to having her work in private collections, she has exhibited at various galleries in the Washington, D.C. area. In 2008, her work was displayed at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in the “Art Anonymous Exhibit” for emerging artists. In 2002, her design for the “Party Animal Project” was accepted by the D.C. Arts and Humanities Commission, and chosen by the National Air and Space Museum to be displayed on their grounds at the National Mall.

She has been involved in numerous fundraising activities and grants for community art programs. For 6 years, she has been a curator and exhibitor for Summit Connection Embassy Exhibits presented at National US Embassies.

Myra is a past President for the Takoma Artists’ Guild (TAG), a nonprofit organization. She was one of the TAG founding members in 1982, and served on the Board of Directors for over 20 years. She is an adjunct faculty member for the Montgomery College Continuing Education Program. Myra received her A.A. degree, with honors, from Montgomery College and B.A. in Fine Art from the University of Maryland.

and take viewers to a deeper level. My hope is that others who are searching
can see the glimpse of spirituality that is always there.”
