Rose Tree is a warm place that has no thorns. The tree is reminiscent of an apple tree I climbed in my adolescence, where I found solitude and dreamed my dreams. This painting represents an isolated spot where one can smell the roses and meditate; a resting place on life's journey. 2001/2002
About Myra Maslowsky
Myra Maslowsky is a visual artist who has specialized in oil painting for over 40 years. In addition to having her art work in private collections, she has exhibited at various galleries in the Washington, D.C. and Pittsburgh area. Her work was displayed at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in the Art Anonymous Exhibit for emerging artists. Her design for the Party Animal Project was accepted by the D.C. Arts and Humanities Commission, and chosen by the National Air and Space Museum to be displayed on their grounds at the National Mall. For several years, she has been a curator and exhibitor for Summit Connection at various International Embassy Exhibits in Washington, D.C.
