The boy in this picture was painted from a photograph of my son, Dylan. He is representing humanity. His traveling companion is a butterfly, symbolizing man in harmony with nature. He is looking in wonder at our galaxy, The boy pauses to view the constellation "The Southern Cross," symbolizing we are all brothers and sisters. Both the energy of the universe and the energy of the boy are in harmony, symbolic of wisdom in mankind through our common humanity. Painted in 1996.

Myra Maslowsky is a visual artist who has specialized in oil painting for over 40 years. In addition to having her art work in private collections, she has exhibited at various galleries in the Washington, D.C. and Pittsburgh area. Her work was displayed at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in the Art Anonymous Exhibit for emerging artists. Her design for the Party Animal Project was accepted by the D.C. Arts and Humanities Commission, and chosen by the National Air and Space Museum to be displayed on their grounds at the National Mall.
